‘Twas the night before Christmas, and Neha was frantically scouring shops for the perfect presents.
Being a level-100 master of procrastination, I typically leave Christmas shopping until last minute. All that pressure adds a certain sense of accomplishment once I get everything done, though the stress is probably not worth the struggle. So I resolved to make a holiday gift guide this year – not just for myself, but for others who battle with the same issue. I cannot be the only one! Hopefully, this simplifies the ordeal. All items on this guide are available in stores; you simply need to run down to your nearest mall and snag them! Additionally, everything on this list is under $50. Thumbs-up for shopping on a budget!
After weeks of careful preparation and work, I finally present to you the newest version of www.amedrops.com!
I chose to incorporate a minimalistic color scheme of black and white, while adding accents of my favorite turquoise. This design better fits my aesthetic and personality than previous versions of the site. In the midst of uncovering more of who I was these past few months, I figured that I should simply be who I want without any regrets. The entire concept sprang from that feeling.
For the first time, I’m using the kanji from amedrops – 雨 – to brand the site. This ties into my love of anime and manga, and my appreciation for the beauty of Japanese calligraphy. I also spent a great deal of time making everything mobile device responsive. Although I’m by no means proficient at PHP or WordPress, the entire experience has taught me so much!
More features will be added to the site as time goes on. Hint, hint: a slideshow (inexplicably excited about that one).
Well, that ends this post. Stay tuned for updates and let me know what you think of the new site in the comments section below!
