A BTS-Related Post

My mood for the past week was slightly down, so I felt a need to make a light-hearted post celebrating my favorite music group – BTS. The reason for my mood is because I read a webcomic which completely wrecked me. I sat in contemplation for hours after finishing it. Plus work is a bundle of stress. Anyway, I digress. BTS never fails to put a smile on my face. Even if you may not be a fan of Korean music, in RM’s words, “music & performance transcends language, countries, races”. Broaden your horizons!

A playlist of my fave tracks

Honestly, I don’t know how to organize this post haha… so I guess I’ll start of with a playlist of my favorite songs aka my BTS Spotify playlist. Note that not all of these songs are by BTS; some of them are covers or solo songs:

This playlist definitely has more chill vibes, which is what I prefer to listen to on the regular.

A music video I love

My favorite music video has to be Not Today, which is the MV that started my fascination in the first place. The cinematic production is amazing to behold. I love how all BTS MVs are color-graded in general – the tones are vibrant and memorable.

One of my goals in life is to learn to dance to at least one BTS song. This one, specifically:

A pipe dream probably, since I have no clue how to dance haha. Maybe I’ll learn it someday, though! One can always hope to cultivate a new talent.

An RM quote I want tattooed on my forehead (jk)

“Life is more beautiful knowing that we’ve taken a loan on death. Even light is treasured more when there is darkness.”

Kim Namjoon

Namjoon says the most beautiful things.

I want to mention how much I admire every single member’s talents. They are all incredibly diverse people with many skill sets, and it is the culmination of those skills combined with perseverance and unwavering teamwork that make BTS stand out. I just feel so inspired and uplifted whenever I see their work. Everything is so meticulously thought out and executed at 110% capacity – from the packaging of their albums to their concert performances. Since I watched their BTS 2015 HYYH 화양연화 On Stage concert yesterday during Bang Bang Con, I was struck by how far they’ve come. Hard work makes the dream work.

I hope you enjoyed this random little post, and I also hope that it gave you a chance to discover something new! Experiencing anything from another part of the globe is enriching; it makes you realize how incredibly imaginative and cognitive humankind is. Until next time!
